Commission for Disabled Staff in Lifelong Learning

Sasha Callaghan

Sasha is an active trade unionist and member of the Disabled Peoples' Movement. She has worked in post-16 education since 1992, both as an Educational Guidance Officer and a Lecturer in Art and Design. She has been a trainer in Disability Equality and inclusion for the last three years.

Her recent exhibition “A Secret History – the lived experiences of disabled people” forms part of a resource pack for school teachers which was launched nationally in 2006.

Sasha is a member of the TUC Disability Committee and the Disability Rights Commission Post-16 Education Reference Group. She is President Elect of the University and College Union.
