EUROVISIO
Aim and objectivesThe Eurovisio project aimed to make lifelong learning more visible in the communities of the four partnership countries.
Activities and lessons learnedMembers of the project team designed and created an exhibition that showed real examples of how lifelong learning had changed people’s lives. The material was then exhibited to each of the partnership countries. One of the greatest lessons learnt was that they share many of the same experiences of change in their lives through ill health or family commitments, and despite huge cultural differences can share the benefits of learning new skills as adults.
AchievementsThe positive outcomes from the project were a result of the successful partnership between Germany, Portugal, Greece and the UK. This was demonstrated through a professional exhibition, which presented case studies of real learners who had benefited from lifelong learning. The work was exhibited on four separate occasions in each country and was visited by the local community, representatives of the partner countries and the learners themselves. In addition a “EUROVISIO” website was produced, with information about all the exhibitions and the partnership.
Materials producedAs mentioned above there were two outcomes, exhibitions demonstrating the learners’ work and progression, which was supported by a website: www.eurovisio2005.com.
