Note: If you are using a browser other than Internet Explorer on Windows you may need to use an alternative modifier key. e.g. when using IE on a Mac the CTRL key is used, this would make the link to the home page CTRL-1. In Firefox 2 the modifier is SHIFT+ALT, making SHIFT+ALT+1.

High Visability Stylesheet

This is accessed using the "Change to 'High Visibility' view" link at the top of the page in after the links to the different sections.

The High Visibility page style has a larger text size and high contrast colours The document text flows in a logical order.

Once you have entered high-visibility view the link will become "Change to the 'full' view". Selecting the 'full' link will return to the original page style.

Javascript & CSS

This website makes use of Javascript and CSS technology to provide a dynamic interface for browsing the regions map. The following explains how the site will react under various conditions:
CSS and Javascript disabled or only CSS disabled
The site will 'degrade gracefully' if your web broswer does not use CSS or CSS is disabled. You will be presented with a plain black on white interface.
Javascript disabled and CSS enabled
The site will look 'normal', however the dynamic functions (on-screen elements changing when parts of the map images are hovered over/clicked on) will not work. In this situation the dynamic elements can be ignored or the alternative (High Visibility) stylesheet can be used to format the page such that Javascript is not necessary.

Documents

There are a number of Resources that are "Documents". In order to view these documents you may need additional software installed on your computer. The following is a list of the different document types within the Resources section and the software you can use to view them (other software may be available that can also view/open these documents).

Document TypeSoftware/Applcation
MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access Documents
  • The individual application (MS Word, MS Excel, etc)
  • Microsoft Office (Access/Powerpoint may not be available for certain viewers)
  • Microsoft Office Viewers free download available
Adobe PDF
Image files (JPEG, Bitmap)

These should open in your web browser. If they do not then you may have to open them manually in an image viewer/editor. Most current operating system have basic image viewers built-in. If not others are available, E.G.

There may be other ways of making the directory more accessible – please tell us how by using the Feedback Form.
