Adult Education and Mental Health
Project Status: Completed 1997
NIACE worked with the Further Education Development Agency (now known as the Learning and Skills Development Agency) to map good practice in continuing education for people who have mental health difficulties. A questionnaire survey of all colleges and LEAs in England and Wales was complemented by site visits to about two dozen locations. A book on this work, by Alison Wertheimer, called Images of Possibility was published jointly by NIACE and FEDA in Autumn 1997.
