Introduction
A critical success factor for the programme is the cascade training that E-Guides carry out with their colleagues after the three-day programme is completed. For many organisations, NIACE trained E-Guides have been central to their development of an e-learning or ILT strategy, and to their staff development e-learning training. Research indicates that more than 15,000 staff have been involved in the cascade programmes.
E-Guides Lead by Example - Case Studies
There are a number of case studies which demonstrate how E-Guides have applied their e-learning skills and knowledge developed as part of the training programme.
Work-based learning E-Guides training programme
As part of the Work-based learning E-Guides pilot programme 2006/07, NIACE developed four case studies with work-based learning provider staff. The case studies demonstrate the variety of applications that e-learning offers for enhancing the teaching and learning process, including the development and use of e-portfolios, the use of digital technology to evidence learning outcomes, and the use of Web 2.0 technology to actively engage learners.
